Our
My Life, My Choice programme is funded in a mixture of ways. These
include;
- Funding from charitable grants
and foundations
- Hourly payment by members -
using their Individual Budgets, Direct Payments, or own
money etc
- Donations and Fundrasing
Using our funding in this way allows us to work
in a very flexible way.
Some of our existing members are
funded through the money we have received from the charitable
grants and foundations. Some use their own funding to pay for the
care and support cost of their activity time.
Unfortunately we do
not currently have enough funding to support any new members,
unless you have your own payments such as Direct Payments or
Individual Budgets.
How to join
There are a few simple steps that
you will need to take before we can get you started....
1)
Give us a call
2)
We will arrange to meet with you and your carer(s). We usually ask
you to come along to our office.
At the meeting we will spend some time chatting about what you
like to do, what your needs are and also tell you how our group
works.
3)
We will give you a copy of our Activity Sheet. This is our
programme of activities for the next 2 months.
Once you are a member......
4)
We will send you a new Activity Sheet every 2 months. When you get
it we ask you to have a look at it and decide what you would like
to do. You must then let us know what activities you are choosing
so that we can book your a place. It is important that you always
let us know what you would like to do so that we can make sure
that we have enough volunteers there to be safe.
